Robot war: an American company challenged to a duel Japanese

Hollywood giant robots transformed into stars of action movies and science fiction. Now, two companies of different nationalities want to show that the fights between large machines can also take place off-screen. The US venture MegaBots, Inc challenged the Japanese firm Suidobashi Heavy Industry to a duel robots.

It all started by a group of 20 scientists, engineers and designers, among other professionals, who shared the same dream: to create a league of fighting giant robots and make this practice in "the sport of the future". As your project on Kickstarter did not work, the company decided to seek help from the software company Autodesk to manufacture a prototype machine.

Creating MegaBots has almost five meters tall, weighs over 5,400 kilos and can shoot paintballs from more than one kilo to funky shirts. For now, the robot moves through covered by rubber bands

for tires, but the company is working to make it walk on two legs. The driver's cab is one of the improvements to be made as it must ensure the health of the person operating the robot at the possibility of participating in a possible duel.

For the eastern signature it is very different from MegaBots. Suidobashi has a long history in the business. The company developed in 2012 at the famous Kuratas: robots almost 4 meters high and more than 4,500 kilos, which have an integrated gun to his arm.

Kogoro Kurata, the artist who created the emblem robot Suidobashi, accepted the challenge to the Americans, but put them on one condition: if the fight takes place, both used weapons and painting not to fight. The meeting would take place only next year. The exact date, location, and if the match can be seen or not, they are still a mystery.
