In an attempt to further penetrate the Latin American market, representatives of the Russian State Corporation Rostec have come to Peru to showcase their products to military technology, but also to provide civil uses as part of its industrial conglomerate.
"The military-technical cooperation between Peru and Russia has been developing for 45 years and in that time has allowed us to reach a mutual understanding," said the head of the delegation of Rostec and deputy general manager of the corporation, Dmitri Shugaev.
For the Russian official, cooperation may be extended until a transfer of technologies, both in the military and civilian, and helicopters, rifles, trucks and buses. "This is an opportunity for Peru." Be given partial transfer of technologies, this would include not only the sale of products and the delivery of production licenses, but also transfer of knowledge, ie staff training to enable the assembly, maintenance and repair of helicopters and assembly Kamaz trucks and buses.

Currently, technology transfer is done through the training program and maintenance of helicopters, as part of the implementation of Integral Repair Center in La Joya, Arequipa. A similar center is enabled only in Brazil and Mexico.
It is recalled that Peru recently acquired 24 helicopters MI-171 SH-P Company Russian Helicopters, a holding company belonging to Rostec.
Civilian products and Safe City
Russia and Peru maintain a technical-military collaboration for four decades. The amount of contracts signed from 2002 to 2015 exceeds $ 700 million, but from Moscow want to further strengthen the relationship and keep our country as a strategic partner in Latin America.
In addition to the weapons such as tanks and helicopters Russia, through Rostec, he wants to expand trade with civilian products. One is Safe City, a program designed to monitor the cities through intelligent traffic lights that monitor traffic not only crime but also a system of air traffic control. This system was implemented during the Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, and could be delivered to Brazil for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The civil partnership is also offered through the construction of mobile delivery ports and perinatal medical equipment such as incubators.

Rostec representatives have come to Lima to be present at the V International Exhibition of Technology for Defense and Disaster Prevention (SITDEF 2015) held in Lima until 17 May.
